Hello Fellow WoD Players:
I know everyone has a very busy and active life style and sometimes cannot post even when there is desire to do so. Sometimes we get bogged down and we forget we have threads that are waiting for responses, or we just straight out miss a thread when we think we got it. We TOTALLY get it. It even happens to us as Storytellers. So we are putting in place some new rules about time frame that are fair for the players, but also helps alleviate some stress on the ST side as well.
1. At the 30 day mark of a thread, ST will bump thread to bring players attention to it. This is the first reminder that an ST is waiting on a player response. (We're still ok! Day 30)
2. Another 30 days goes by with zero life on the thread, ST will BUMP the thread a second time. At this point, players have 7 (SEVEN) days to notify ST of their interest in continuing the scene in question. (We are at Day 60)
3. After the 7th Day, and still no communication, the thread will be considered DEAD and will be locked and moved to the appropriate archive. (We're at Day 67)
The reasons for this structure is to help STs keep stories moving and keep the forum from stagnating. Most STs here run multiple games and keeping track of where things are at is very important. Taking time to monitor and restart necrotic threads slows our response times down.
NOW! That being said - If there is any reason that you are unable to post and want to keep the scenes going, talk to us! It really and truly is about communication. Life happens and real life is more important than game. There are those of us here that are teachers, ren fair actors, haunters, and so much more! There are peak seasons of activity where there just is no time to post. It's all good! Just message the STs (any of us) and we are happy to place things on hold while you are doing your thing. (Trust me, we love stories about the cool stuff everyone does away from the PC!)
And as always, if you have questions give us a shout and we'll sort things out.
Happy Gaming!
